Welcome,

It is my distinct pleasure to introduce you to Perfect Practice, central New York's largest exclusive baseball and softball training facility.

Baseball has always been a passion of mine ever since I can remember. The memories of playing catch with my dad or playing a neighborhood baseball game in the street or the local park with my friends are ones that I will cherish forever. When I drive by my old, abandon, little league field I can still hear the sounds of youth baseball as vividly today as they were some thirty years ago. The voices of old coaches telling me to "slide" or my parents encouraging me to "throw strikes" echoes in my head to this day. Sadly, I can still recall the feeling I had when the baseball season would end and my glove had to be put away for five months, due to the central New York inclement weather.

As I fast forward to the present I find that my skills of old have eroded, but my passion for the game of baseball has never been greater. I now have the honor and privilege of watching my son play this great game. I'm proud of the fact that he inherited my passion for the game and I'm glad that he is a better player than I was at his age. My daughter introduced me to both slow and fast pitch softball. She was a good little all-star hitter in her own right. Times have changed, but one constant still exists in New York, the weather. So a few years ago I started thinking about how we could get local boys and girls playing baseball and softball all year long.

There were specific criteria I wanted to incorporate into a potential facility. First, it needed it to be exclusively for baseball and softball. Next I wanted to make sure that if a player needed a workout that he/she didn't have to wait long for access to a cage or pitching mound. If you then mix in some qualified hitting and pitching instructors find a name that personifies the quest for excellence, you now have the foundation for Perfect Practice.

With the support of my wife and kids the vision of Perfect Practice became a reality on November 15th 2006. Our 10 indoor cages cover 13,000 square feet. The response to our facility has been overwhelming thus far. Families and teams have come from all over central New York to fuel their passions for the game of baseball and softball. To date we have hosted Little League, high school, adult baseball and softball teams. We thoroughly enjoy watching families interact. Moms and Dads playing catch with sons and daughters. Even an occasional grandparent will throw the ball around to relive a shining moment in their lives. Former and current major/minor league players along with college and high-school coaches anchor our training staff.

Our vision doesn't stop here. The future will include a retail store, frame shop, memorabilia store and public autograph signings of your favorite heroes past and present. For those of you that have made Perfect Practice what it is so far my wife and I sincerely thank you. Anyone that comes in for the first time, please ask for me. I want to thank you personally.
